Still... kinda bad choice putting two STGs same day along with maybe biggest 360 game this year in Japan i.e. Star Ocean 4.

Pretty sure those are completely different markets within the game market. I'd also go as far as to say anyone who wants DDP DOJ BL EX has allready preordered it.

OT: It sucks that Shooting Love 200X doesnt have its own thread. are most ppl preordering this as well as ddp? i know for sure i got ddp preorder but does Shooting Love 200X merits an import price?

It's hard to get excited about a game which is only slightly improved over the version I already have running in a cabinet and which can't even run in the original resolution. I'm still waiting for Ketsui and/or Death Smiles (release dates) to get excited.

Sonic Unleashed is just like every other 3D Sonic game, don't waste your time.

I don't really care for Shooting Love 200X either, but we'll see. I'm more looking forward to BL and Death Smiles (already own Ketsui).

This isn't true in all eyes.... if you remotely liked any of the sonic adventure games then you will like this. Even if you didn't you may still like this. Surprisingly I can say that I really truly enjoyed the game a lot.

don't spread the curse.... those things are wallet sucking fiends once you let them into your house.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

I remotely liked Sonic Adventure and I didn't like this. It's a racing game with baseless platforming elements and still has terrible controls. The only Sonic game I've enjoyed since 2000 has been Sonic Rush, and that's mostly because of Hideki Naganuma's music. I don't think the sequel had him doing the music though.

damn after finalizing my preorder, i got a question

is DDP EXBL a port of the arcade or a ps2 port of DDP DOJ?

edit:economy doing so bad right now paying 70 bucks for an import just kinda make me cringe

Black Label was never released on home consoles so presumably it's from the arcade version...supposedly the "regular" DOJ is on here too, but I doubt they just transplanted the PS2 version, since it was done by a completely different company.

For those with PCB:

what are, in short words, the main differences between

Black Label

and the version for the PS2.

Are new levels or enemies included or is it just a change
in the game-mechanics ???

Black Label has:
-tweaked difficulty (slightly easier first loop, harder 2nd loop)
-More hypers...thus more scoring
-Choice of 1 loop or 2 loop game. Hibachi appears at the end of the 1st loop if you choose the 1 loop version
-Changes in hitbox size
-An unlockable character, whose ship is a gigantic penis
-other tweaks.

You'll have to deal with the fact I totally disagree with you.... especially on the control front. I think that's fair... this isn't really on this threads topic though.

Bigger or smaller in BL?

I've always felt that the Hitbox in DOJ was too big.

I've heard somewhere that the DOJ hitboxes are slightly off center and is fixed in DOJ BL.

A-type had a smaller hitbox in DOJ White compared to B-type, both of them are that small in DOJ Black.

I've always felt that that the hitbox of Type-B was insanely large. I thought this was because of the wide shot you can get by using it with Exy. It made dodging that gigantic cannon which you can gain a 1up out of in Stage 4 a pain. If it's swapped, I'll probably end up using Type B with Exy much more.

No.

White: A's hitbox is small, B's is big.
Black: A's hit box is big, B's is small

It's hard to judge by the photo, but the 'swapped' statement seems to be true.

GP, i'm fairly sure that's incorrect. even though it's published in the DOJ BL booklet, if you check nakano promotion's website, they even apologise for the error.

it's not really a big deal though. it went from like 4x4 pixels, to 3x3. sorry boys, but 1 extra pixel of breathing space wont see you clearing both loops in a hurry
