Got hit by an instant death laser beam from those spinning rock things. The circle is now complete - I have been blasted by an instant death beam in every Psikyo game that has them.

Wow, nice job IlMrm - this is a tough Psikyo game. I'm not sure I'll ever clear the first loop.

Nice job Yace D!

I really like Sonia's charged shot. Did you use that attack a lot in your strategy?

Wow, some good Rob and Sonia scores o_O I wonder how they managed with the crappy dragon return?

Anyways, here's my awful score for the moment. I wanted to stay focused on Dodonpachi, but I'm finding Dragon Blaze to be far too addicting, despite my ultimate suckitude at it. The shmup world needs more medievel shooters ^_^

RWM // 578,200 // Quaid // 1-4

Perhaps I should repost all my scores in the high score forum using my actual forum name instead of my initials... It hadn't occured to me it might even be an issue until someone posted my score as RWM (Arvandor) in one of the threads. Meh, too much work.

Edit: I promised myself I'd stop after a decent run. I should have kept that promise, since I've been playing for a few hours since my decent run, and have been doing absolutely terrible.

I was waiting to get a score that wouldn't put me in last place. However, the more i play this the more i realize that even last place has put in a lot of work. I don't feel so bad about my hiscore anymore:

[Obsolete, see later post] 32. unsane // 229,700 // Quaid // 1-4

Image

EDIT 07-Dec-07: nevermind, do not add me, as i found out you guys are using assisted autofire. No point trying to compete without autofire - no wonder i was having trouble getting out of last place.

EDIT 09-Dec-07: Wow, i just found out there's a C button in this game after playing it for a month. Playing without dragon shot is considerably harder haha. I think that better explains my bad score. :P

OK, my first respectable score since starting to use dragon shot and autofire. Roughly 30 hours of no dragon shot play. 1 hour with dragon shot. :P The game is infinitely easier with dragon shot, except i completely fuck up now because i'm so used to playing without it. Once i get used to it i'll do pretty well methinks.

Edit: Minor improvement, but it does move me up one spot. Plus I made it to stage six. God, is there really *another* stage after this one? I'll never see loop two. =/

zero.otaku // 664,600 // Rob // 1-6

Another new one. Stage 5 boss is a bastard!

zero.otaku // 650,200 // Rob // 1-5

Sorry, ganson! =(

This isn't really a big deal but I'm posting it anyway 'cause I attained this score at Michigan's (with special guest from Ohio) very own shmupmeet held this past weekend.

Ok, I'm going to give this a go. Been playing it on Mame since yesterday (about 1 hours worth so far) though have it on PS2 too. So far got 185,000 odd but shall see if I can get on the bottom of the list - some way to go yet!

There is no cap for this board if I am not mistaken. So go ahead and post your score.

About an hours play today. Mucking around with the special attack to get maximum coinage.

I finally made it to level 5 and I don't see myself making it that much further any time soon.

Started playing this a couple days ago, great game! It goes to show that there really aren't enough games out there where you get to throw dragons at things.

[Obsoleted, see next post] Breakdown // 466,000 // Quaid // 1-4

I fully expect to improve this, but just getting something on the board for now.

Edit 2: All obsolete, see next post.

Edit 7/17: Still on stage 1-5, but big improvement to score, probably largely due to the fact that I think this was the first credit I played where I actually used every bomb the game gave me.

Breakdown // 738,400 // Quaid // 1-5

Breakdown // 626,800 // Quaid // 1-5

Made it to 1-5 and the extend!
