This is stupidity on a massive level folks. Even drug use on the part of the seller can't explain this away.
ebay (and other) auctions with insane prices
Well, it is in this thread. eBay is filled with people who charge asinine amounts of money for even the simplest things. So frankly, finding someone that would charge $199.99 for a guide that's supposedly "Extremely Rare" (in the same vain that Sonic the Hedgehog is "L@@K RARE" to be sure) wouldn't and doesn't surprise me.D wrote:typo, it was unintentional, this should not be in this thread. the destruction of everything, is the beginning of something new. your whole world is on fire, and soon, you'll be too..
I understand your anger. However, the way you titled the auction it wasn't easy to find; people may have thought you were selling DDR Ram... Putting in "Konami", "Arcade" and "Dance Dance Revolution" would probably have helped.sven666 wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1

$1.25? No fucking way. You should've gotten more than that out of the auction.sven666 wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1

Kinect? KIN NOT.
ebay always makes me nervous about stuff like that happening. I generally end up putting the starting price fairly high or do buy-it-now to avoid it, but I would prefer to start stuff at .99 to attract more bids.
It should be noted that Animal Forest for N64, the import of Animal Crossing that the GC game originally came from, is worth bank on ebay. I've sold two at $120 apiece. Don't quite get it myself, but I buy every copy of the game I can find (admittedly it is quite rare, but I only spend 35-45 per copy when I do find one).

I bought that game from Gamecrazy for $1.99 about a year and a half ago, and the cart was in perfect shape. It's not a rare game in any way, shape or form, and anyone who claims otherwise is either painfully misinformed, or a liar.

We've reached (and possibly passed) Delisoba Deluxe territory with that one...The Coop wrote:Is any game worth this much?
I'm pretty sure Metal Slug AES still tops all of that ($1800 for the Japanese rev and $2800 for the US one).BulletMagnet wrote:We've reached (and possibly passed) Delisoba Deluxe territory with that one...The Coop wrote:Is any game worth this much?

What the hell was going on with the FF7 auction? I can't understand where the fake bidders even start - even paying 20 is too much for that game.
What's the point of fake bidding here, anyway? Do you guys think the seller thought getting 10 bucks is too little for FF7, of which millions of copies were made, or what?
I just can't understand people sometimes...

I found this last night while I was poking through the site. Sure, it's not a lot, but it's a demo being sold as a full game... and a paltry three level demo at that.
I'm pretty sure there's a free demo for this game too, which makes this auction even sadder.
