DL HERE, great freeware gem.

I'll soon post my score, in the meantime, get your scores coming.
(Note: with keyb/mouse I'd suggest using Hybrid controls (wasd + mouse))

We'll do Medium and Hard charts, so play accordingly.

You might want to specify defaults or something. I play at 1600x1200 with a grid of that size. It may affect scoring and difficulty.

um... I got 3 million on hardest possible settings (Hard difficulty, extra life/bomb every 250k), but I left the playfield size at 1280x1024, I didn't know if that makes a difference. As it is I ended up quitting at 3 million anyway because the game is so easy

Wow. I found the game got really hard. But then again, I suck at these dual stick games ;)

Nice Total Carnage replay btw. How did you add captions?

it gets hard as the multiplier goes up, but then use a bomb whenever it looks like things are getting too hectic and everything resets. The game tends to give extra bombs at intervals other than the times it's supposed to award one, so that makes it a bit easy... if the game didn't have bombs it'd be a bit more interesting I think.

oh and I play with the two little analog controllers of a PS2 Dual Shock.

Captions are lines of text that you can add to display when the game reaches a certain frame number (use F11 to see the frame counter). Like if you wanted to add something at frame 13370 that says "This is leet", you'd put in "13370: This is leet" in the .cap file. You can see how it works from that .cap file I included too, they're easily editable in Notepad. It's a neat little MAME Plus / WolfMAME feature that nobody really uses.
