If you haven't seen the original game, it's a wave based shmup like Galaga with a variety of enemies and a dash that lets you make big dodges and pass through lasers and bullets. The dash is harder to abuse than you would expect! Viral Reload EX has the same gameplay as the original, but now with a lot more content. There are more enemies than before, 9 bosses, 9 stages, 19 cutscenes (plus an intro cutscene, totaling over 100 drawings), an Arcade Mode, Story Mode and Boss Rush Mode, as well as some fun stuff to unlock in the Rec Room. The original game had 2 bosses and one starry background that looped. The game still loops, if you can make it through 90 waves and 9 bosses in Arcade mode or Boss Rush you'll loop right back to the beginning with all of the enemies and bosses becoming more challenging. There's a practice mode for the bosses, and if you beat a boss in practice mode it will come back as it's looped version so you can practice those too. There are achievements for making it to wave 180 and 270, so good luck!

The game has full support for Tate mode, you can take the game off free play and assign a credit button if you want to, there are a couple of borders to choose from (including no border), and a variety of other options to let you customize your experience a bit more.
