obscure pipe navigation computer game

Post by captain ahar »

i'm wondering about a game from childhood i used to play all the time.

i'm pretty sure it was a c64 game, because other games i played on the same computer were impossible mission and spy vs. spy, and looking through screens they are exactly the kind of graphics i remember.

anyway, the game was very simple. you played an amorphic little creature (brightly colored i think). the whole point of the game was to navigate a set of pipes up to the surface of the level. and that was the entire game, from level to level, they would just switch up the tile layout.

thanks for your help everyone, but i'm not going to pursue this any further.

i am of the mind where i cannot drop something, no matter how insignificant it may be. given that i last played this game more than 12 years ago, and in hindsite it was a bit boring to begin with (the whole game was navigate pipes to surface, walk to the right, fall down hole, do it again), not worth the effort.

again thanks to everyone who contributed.

Sorry ahar, but as Marc said, it has nothing to do with you - we're in to satisfy our curiosity :D

yeah, i understand that. carry on if you wish, i'll still be reading the thread if posts continue. :D its just that at this point, i've basically given all i remember, so i will be unable to contribute.

edit: observe my extreme bi-polarity with this thread. topic title changed again to reflect current attitude. i am most irritating person on planet!

thanks but thats not it. i mentioned before that the game revolved around an amorphous blob of a main character. also, it wasn't so much a game as "interactive." strictly for kids, in other words.

Pipedream
But it is probably not the game you are talking about. It is a nice puzzle game, anyway... :)

actually, there is a pipe mania, didn't try it, but it appears to be a basic clone of pipedream.

The "not a game" part makes me think of The Manhole . . maybe it was made by the same company??
