I was working on RGB and component modding this AA-2D set and got careless, and dropped a metal object in the area between the flyback and video inputs, there was a large spark, and the TV powered off.
When I try to turn the TV on now, it makes the normal degaussing thump/hum noise, then immediately powers off.
The main fuse is fine (obviously or it couldn't degauss). There are NO obvious burnt-out parts anywhere on the mainboard or the power supply. I have tested all of the diodes and resistors near the flyback where the short happened with a multimeter and I've tested all the capacitors in the area with an ESR meter. Everything checks out.
For what its worth, I have checked at various pins and the TV is getting standby 5V.
Does anyone have any ideas of where to start for further troubleshooting?

For anyone who might find this: Turns out R574 on the mainboard was blown. Would suggest just looking up the B+ line on the PSU and then onto the mainboard.
