How do I update my WiiDual firmware? v3.0e -> v3.1?

How do I update my WiiDual firmware? My WiiDual firmware version is v3.0e and I want to update it to v3.1

I have Dan's website and the GCVideo page with the newest firmware, but I have no idea where I put the files or how to update.

Run the .dol file via homebrew, and I think either put the firmware update file in the same folder as the .dol or the root of your SD card, not sure: https://github.com/ikorb/gcvideo/blob/m ... d#updating

For WiiDual you just need the 3.1 package from Dan's website since I believe it's slightly modified.

This reminds me my WiiDual is still on 2.4c.2 which means I'll have to dismantle the console and manually flash the newest firmware...

If I do get in the mood to do that, is it fine to flash straight to the latest 3.1?

Yes, flashing directly is a full re-flash and works no matter what you had on there before.

Hey I know this thread is a few months old but I also need to update mine that’s on 2.4c.2. Is opening and manually flashing it really the only way to update it?
