Londoners: anywhere to get LEDs and shit like that fixed?

I know this is random. Got a friend w 4 busted LED Hula Hoops. There are a total of 3 symptoms. There are some instructions, but I'm guessing at best they'll need some soldering, and at worst they are dead. They aren't cheap so I'd like to make sure. Anyone know of any shop that take a look at such things? 10 million people - I figure someone's gotta know something.

There's a wiki page w/ some info on the product, including how to check things out w/ a bench power supply.

Anyway, unless I ask the answer is always no.

If no one has a better suggestion, I would look for an audio equipment repair service. Such a shop would be more than equipped to handle something simple like a broken LED controller, assuming it's serviceable.

They wound up borrowing some. Reading the manual, a lot of these were rather shoddily built. There is, in fact, an open source project for making them, but you need to be good at making the hoop, and then soldering and that shit (I'm not). Maybe one day.
