G Darius ending "captions"

Post by Skyknight »

On the Japanese PSX version of G Darius, there were five hidden files which had text explanations of the five possible endings.

Well, we don't have to fish that disc out anymore.

http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/G%E3%83%80 ... 2%E3%82%B9

Close to the end, you'll find the ending captions (you can tell which they are on account of the boss names inside). I fed them one at a time to BabelFish, and hopefully I've cobbled them out relatively well...

--LAMBDA (birth of the people of Darius):
Sameluck and Lutia defeated the final enemy flagship "Lightning Coronatus". However, Lutia's ship, between being low on power and being damaged during the battle, exploded, releasing her into deep space. Sameluck wasted no time in rescuing her, taking her into his own vessel. However, his own ship had little power left--he could only make it to the planet nearby, which would be named Darius. There, the two pilots would ultimately become the ancestors of a new human race...

--MU (birth of a new human race)
Sameluck and Lutia defeated the final enemy flagship "Heavy Arms Shell". However, as it begins to be destroyed, it makes a final, desperate attack on the pilots, seeking to take them with it. Sameluck, to protect Lutia, interposes himself between her and Heavy Arms Shell, taking the brunt of the attack. Lutia's vessel is, instead of being destroyed, flung to the surface of the planet that Kazumn orbits, with Lutia wailing in grief for Sameluck's sacrifice. But where she crash-lands, a lone youth approaches her. Noticing something akin to Sameluck in him, Lutia gently takes his hand...

--NU (birth of the planet Darius)
The Silver Hawks destroyed the final enemy flagship "The Embryon". But then, the All-Nothing system which powered the ships suddenly began to go out of control--the demonic power that can annihilate all things. "The power which becomes the saint of THE EMBRYON which produces all THIIMA. And, Sameluck and Lutia which keep going out. " {That's how BabelFish translated those sentences, and I don't understand what "becomes the saint" is supposed to be, or what "keep going out" is supposed to signify in this context...} And yet, a miracle occurred when they were brought together. In deep space, "the planet where one becomes new" {BabelFish again--I'm not sure if it missed an idiom or not} is born. Immense and gentle, there is the promise of new life in that planet, to be born of the sea...

--XI (birth of a new Silver Hawk)
Sameluck and Lutia destroyed the final enemy flagship "Accordion Hazard". However, as it begins to be destroyed, it makes a final, desperate attack on the pilots, seeking to take them with it. But before Accordion Hazard actually explodes, a glaring light suffuses the two ships. "The following instant, there was a wing of the pair which shoots the shining of the silver there.... At one time, that wing which assumes that peace was brought to Amnelia, flapped now facing to new legend from midst of the darkness of outer space...." {I give up trying to make perfect sense out of this...}

--OMIKRON (birth of the Belser army)
After destroying the final enemy flagship "G.T.", Sameluck and Lutia were forced to crash-land on the nearby planet Darius, not having enough energy to return to Amnelia. {So where was the Angel Guard carrier during this?!} However, back in space, Belser spacefarers investigated G.T.'s wreckage. From that, they appropriated the Thiima technology, which they hoped to use to invade Darius...

Also, there's the matter of how the original story is given there...Unlike what the THQ manual said, the war that produced All-Nothing was between Amnelia and Blazar, over who would have jurisdiction over Mahsah. The end result was Amnelia obliterating Blazar with All-Nothing, and THEN the people, cognizant of their error, returned to peace. Not that the Thiima were about to consider this...

Now, if anyone who understands Japanese wants to check the original page, and see if there's anything I missed (probably courtesy of BabelFish...)...
