Hi there,
Long time lurker, first time poster. I’ve picked up a lot of great info and insight from here over the years, so thanks all for that. Onto my shilling…
As a (very) part-time indie dev over the last few years, I managed to cobble together a full Unity build of something that ended up being a more atypical take on a side-scroller, with a rotary / twin-stick / multidirectional approach. Figured I'd share the full “beta” that's available on itch: https://r9a.itch.io/tarantula-hawk
Though pretty much content complete, I'm calling it a beta due to any potential bugs, or other asset / performance / quality-of-life improvements (if I ever get to addressing them).
If you'd like a better sense of how it plays, here are some additional videos of me playing on a custom cab: https://vimeo.com/r9aproduct
If anyone takes the time to check this out, it’s appreciated.

Looks really good, I'm a fan of multi-directional weapons. Keep up the good work!

Re: Tarantula Hawk beta on itch.io
Bumping as I've recently updated the build (0.2.3) to fix a couple of scoring bugs, one which was crashing the whole thing on score initial entry / loading in some cases. Annnd I just realized it today. Oof...
Still bug hunting when I can, but it's pretty much as far along as it's going to get. Thanks for the encouragement, and to any who took the time to check it out.

Recently updated to include better support unknown controllers (0.2.4).
Also posted some new videos of the final level. It is long, though the game only has a total of 4. It's not some "super play"; it's been a while since I fired it up, and I do some bone-headed stuff in here:

It probably the best example of the weapon / level / enemy variety I was shooting for.
