Struggling with Sexy Parodius need advice

I played this game only a few times noticed with Sexy Parodius that the rank in this game is far too high not nescessarily the difficulty though.

I would like for people to give me tips on this game as i would like it way more if i knew how to properly play it. so far i have been playing it with manual option and normal difficulty. The version i played was on the PS1 not sure if the rank works differently compared to arcade and saturn. according to gamefaqs the ps1 version is harder but thats the same for jikkyou oshaberi parodius on ps1.

The first 2 levels of this game are actually quite do-able for me however by the 3rd stage boss medusa the bullets are nearly inavoidable for me and being frozen does not help the 3rd stage itself is not too bad however i can sometimes lose a life to the stage mainly due to the hazards blending in with the stage.

With my most recent attempt i tried the game with only 1 option with the character Ivan by the third stage things had seemed to be much more forgiving with that stage and completed it no death. The farthest i made it was the 5th stage so im not to sure if thats how i should be playing it thay way.

Also would like to know how you complete the 300 coin mission in the 2nd stage that is the high speed section stage as it seems nearly impossible to reach 300 coins the highest i get would be in the 200+ range but no 300. im not sure if the white bell could do anything to make this section doable.

If you play with auto power ups the rank will be easier. To clear the level 2 mission you'll need 2 speed ups to grab enough coins. You'll avoid the stage with the Medusa boss if you pass.

definitely play semi-auto or auto if you aren't, I don't find it toooo unreasonable with semi-auto on PSP with Arcade rank. for stage 2 you'll need to make sure to get one extra speed up than it typically activates (it will only automatically activate that high once you've actually reached the fast part), and yes, having Alex out helps a ton in my experience. I'm not sure if I've personally reached 300 without him, if I have it's been tight.
