Power Supply question

Post by thchardcore »

Here's my question. If I have a SC200 Jameco PSU which feed 5v at 4 amps, and I'm running a CPS2, a set of sanwa flash sticks (again +5 volts, not sure on the draw) and a single or set of 8 ohm speakers will I have enough juice with this PSU or am I fucked and forced to use a PC or Arcade PSU.

Thanks

Yeah, probably 4amps on +5V is enough for that (and 1amp on +12V). I wouldn't recommend it though.

Speakers are not a draw, the amp in the PCB itself will need to be powered regardless of speakers attached.

As I told you before the SC200 is not a prime candidate as it does not support -5V.

I believe the SC200 can power some 4 slots, so most games will work fine. To be honest I don't see a problem at all.

Oh, and if your parrallelling the speakers I was wrong, you need 2 4ohms to get an impedence match.
