2# Fenrir is awesome. Easy install and super affordable. It uses Micro SD cards but they aren't super expensive so long as you put the games you want to play on. Some love to have the entire library on an HDD but if you don't mind having the games you'll play at the time you should be good to goSargon wrote:I'm looking to pick up a Fenrir for my Saturn, but I have a few questions:
1) Do I still need a working save battery in the Saturn, or will games save directly to the Fenrir? Is there any benefit in doing the FRAM mod along with using a Fenrir?
2) Is there any reason to consider MODE instead of a Fenrir? It seems to me that Fenrir compatibility is very good, and it is much more affordable, so is there anything I'm missing?

There is also this add-on coming for the Fenrir, so you don't have to ruin the console by installing an ODE.

I wish something like this was possible for the Dreamcast with GD emu

That's a neat solution for people with physical CD collections, but I wouldn't say that Fenrir ruins the console. You have to remove the CD drive, but could always put it back in.Konsolkongen wrote:There is also this add-on coming for the Fenrir, so you don't have to ruin the console by installing an ODE.
