JVC AV-20F476 geometry adjustment

Got a hold of this great set, but for some reason most of the geometry adjustments in the service menu aren't having any effect. The only one that seems to work is the V SIZE adjustment and few other vertical related settings. I'm doing everything per service manual, but no effect. Is something wrong with the deflection circuit? Could it be an IC or cap? I've never run into this sort of problem and it's driving me CRAZY.
