Alright :!:

Don't no one steal the quarters. I'll be there as the bouncer. And Chris, time to change your signature man, I don't think you own any more of those cabs/games....

Oh crap you are right I don't own any more of those cabs... other than the Aero. Both Atomiswave collections and NAOMI collections are in storage though.

Aero is up for sale. Changed the profile info......

I was wondering whether we could watch some replays on someone's computer tomorrow. I'm thinking about bringing on a CD some Ibara replays by Archer.

and... I decided, if dave allows, that you guys can take a peek at a very early version of my lil' doujin game i've been working on for the last few months.. it's not a shooter, but i'd be interested to see what people think...

Excellent! Of course I'll allow it! I hope it supports PSX/USB joysticks.

well... joystick support is almost implemented, but it's better on keys.. it only uses the cursors ;) - well you'll see tomorrow!.. I just assembled a build and it works ok, minus a bug or ten.. umm

PC just notified me that he won't be able to make it, so I'll be rolling in alone. See you soon, Dave!

A big thanks to Dave for hosting another great shmupmeet. Everyone had a chance to try out the many Raizing shooters. Pixelcorps demonstrated a demo for his game, which looked pretty cool(I still thought that monkey was gonna blow up  ).

I think we had 13 people total at this shmupmeet. Rastan78 (LTG) schooled us on Bakraid and Garegga. Some scores I jotted down:
Battle Garegga 4,498,640 LTG
Battle Bakraid (Normal) 24,037,160 LTG
Battle Bakraid (Advanced) > 17M LTG
Ibara 2,449,920 BER
Great Mahou Daisakusen > 2M BER

Image

And finaly the mystery shmup contest results:
BER 1st
Louisg 2nd
Armon 3rd

Here are Louis (left) and Bernard (right) squaring off in the final round of head-to-head Change Air Blade.

Dave, thanks for hosting this shmupmeet. I had fun playing with Ibara and two-player battles in Change Air Blade. I'm looking forward to trying out Under Defeat and any other game I have yet to play in the next shmupmeet!

Edit: Anyone still interested in Change Air Blade might be interested in this guide in Japanese:

Two movies are also on this site.
