Steam Shmups Sale: New Degica Bundles, New Demo, & Contest

Do we have to post our scores here as well, or will it automatically track whatever we do during the duration of the contest?

Original Endless didn't have the option to save replays last I played, and only uploaded the score to the leaderboards. None of the scores on the Endless leaderboard have downloadable replays by the looks of it, either.

Also, is it necessary to beat your old PBs on the leaderboards in order to participate with new replays, or can lower-scoring runs that don't make it onto the online leaderboards be used as well?

Anyone on the leaderboard between those times is eligible, you don't have to do anything special.

@Gimebe: You are correct! Replays won't be necessary for Endless. The rules were written before we added the Endless mode contest.

I'm a bit confused; can the demo be used to enter the contest, or is it restricted to owners of the full game?

Owners. The demo can't submit scores to the online leaderboards. The demo works well for practicing and getting a feel for the game before you buy.

Just a bit of clarification:

So let's say I've previously had a high score before the contest. I then achieve a score slightly lower. Is my new score counted towards the contest, or do we actually have to break our old scores to have a chance?

Likewise, old score are not counted towards the contest, right?

Old score wouldn't count, slightly lower score inside the time frame will.

(It does record more than just your best on the online leaderboards doesn't it?)

If you don't beat your best score, if you save your replay, I'll look into entering those.

Sorry! We made a few mistakes in our entry method, since we are used to running contests for games that just released, where this isn't really an issue.

On Original Endless, since it doesn't record replays, we'll just have to go with the leaderboards though.
