I think they're just showcasing all of the widgets you can use. IIRC, you can add/remove them in Garegga however you want.stampfer wrote:Is it just me or do the wallpaper stats look *a little bit* oversaturated with info?

Out April 28, 3700 yen: http://m2stg.com/dangun-feveron/index.html
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_UK4B3wnLo
There's a Super Easy arrange a la Garegga and also a new "Fever" arrange that they're still not talking about. (they're doing a time attack contest using the new Fever arrange at this weekend's Cave Matsuri, so there'll be plenty of footage before long.)
Music options include the original arcade music and the CD soundtrack version (stereo and other touchups, not a full arrange) plus two new arranges: an FM arrange by Tappy and a second "V.I.P." arrange by chibi-tech.
All the other stuff from the Garegga port is there: on-screen gadgets, leaderboards and replays, several display options and lots of custom game settings.

Man, the fact that there's still no physical copy announced is kind of absurd. Throw this and Garegga in a 2-pack, and I'll kick you whatever you want, M2.
Re: Dangun Feveron PS4, ported/published by M2, out this win
No. It's very easy to make a JP account and buy credit though. Once you buy it you can use your EU account to play it.5pectre wrote:Is there a way to buy this with my EU account ?

Will definitely be watching the usual gaggle of streamers on twitch have a go at this.

Well, I guess I know what I'm doing this weekend. Now I just need to buy some PSN points and beer.

Two new trailers! first, the modes trailer with an overview of the new stuff: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvuSsZfxuA8
There's also a preview video showing off the different BGM options--chibitech's tunes probably aren't going to surprise anyone but Tappy's FM arranges might: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYEILJesHPE
Aside from the Cave Matsuri demo, they'll also have a faux-arcade setup at HEY for a week or so that'll be locked to the new Fever mode and streamed at the following links:

Looks like they even explain some of the mechanics of Fever Mode up front.
- If you hold A+C, you move more slowly.
- If your ship is in the "safety zone" (bottom 1/3 of the screen), you get the following effects:
- Autobomb
- Full-screen suction on cyborg soldiers
- The cyborg base score value increases automatically over time
- In some situations the safety line will disappear, but they want players to figure it out for themselves. (I'd assume there has to be some sort of risk to counterbalance all the benefits.)

Still waiting for it to go live! I'm hoping they gave it the treatment it deserves!
Re: Dangun Feveron PS4, ported/published by M2, out this win
Fever mode shows the player dropping about 10 missiles on the screen at 3:20.

Looks very sweet.
I need this for practice, time to get a PS4.

Hopefully there will be some more risk/reward strategy going on there. Staying in the safety zone to actually gain more points seems counterintuitive to me.Keres wrote:Looks like they even explain some of the mechanics of Fever Mode up front.
Super Easy mode is basically just the A+C thing, autobomb, and slight suction when in the safety zone.

Really hyped for the release! Haven't looked too much into the game in the past and this just looks like a great opportunity to do so now.

Anyone know what time the new releases hit the Japanese psn store?
Re: Dangun Feveron PS4, ported/published by M2, out this win
There's an option to shut Uo-Poko up. This is unacceptable.
There's also an option for simplified input to activate Uo-Poko!

On the bright side, they kept "full extent of the jam."

Re: Dangun Feveron PS4, ported/published by M2, out this win
The VIP Arrange soundtrack is absolutey incredible. FM arrange is a cute addition, but I find it just OK.
Fever mode is very easy, 1CC on my first play and I'm not that great, nor am I super familiar with Dangun Feveron (I probably last played it over 3 years ago and have never played it a ton). I'm sure I am missing some of the intricacies of scoring or some special mode features like the exact mechanics of the safety line, but just playing through is no sweat.
OMG why can M2 get scanlines so right when EVERYBODY else seems incapable?
M2 Shottriggers "See you next shooting" in the credits" makes me very excited about the future. Can't wait to see more entries on this label. Hope we hear more soon, like, oh, the Cave matsuri this weekend...

Do PS3 sticks work? I assume they do since they did in Garegga, but just checking.

This may have been asked already - but is this getting a retail release or just DLC only?
Re: Dangun Feveron PS4, ported/published by M2, out this win
Yeah, I cleared fever my first try. There's clearly something else to that mode in regards to scoring and difficulty; the footage they showed involved lots more bullets than I ever saw in my play through.

Yeah, I noticed the first stage bulletspam in the systems trailer yesterday, so I figured there'll be something else in there a-la Max Rank Mode in Garegga Premium Arrange. I'll be fun seeing where it leads.
I'll be streaming the first day playthrough after dinner today. Maybe we'll do a little investigation into Fever Arrange.
Re: Dangun Feveron PS4, ported/published by M2, out this win
Yeah, it would have more sense IMO if it worked the same way as in Touhou games : you auto-collect items if you are near the top of screen. That said, optimal play in arcade mode already involves being near the top of the screen as often as possible, so maybe M2 thought that changing things for this alternate mode would be better?Plasmo wrote: Staying in the safety zone to actually gain more points seems counterintuitive to me.
