Raiden Fighters Aces Japanese Spine Art English Text?

Post by ATTRACTS »

Hi all,
Tried looking online for an example but no dice.
Very quick question, I just received the Japanese Xbox 360 version of Raiden Fighters Aces, the cover is a bit sunfaded and the side spine art is all in English.
I have every other Japanese 360 shmup and they all have Japanese text on the side art, was just wondering if the English on this Raiden Fighters Aces is normal or if I got some kind of janky makeshift art copy. The front cover is the Japanese cover for sure..Just looks weird having this one title have English text in the library here.

Thanks in advance :)

I haven't seen it myself, but that's likely just how it comes. My copy of Sakura Flamingo Archives on 360 has english text on the side as well.

Mine's like that too (bought at release, came with the INH superplay DVD). Not too uncommon for JP game spines to have English text - my shelf is peppered with examples from the Famicom up to current gen. Kinda cute, haha.

BTW, I've found GameFAQs' image sections are a surprisingly good resource for checking import packaging - they have NTSCJ Aces here for example.

Quite a few PS1 games have Japanese on one spine and English on the other.
