Bought a CV-1000 board a few months ago that was missing the large capacitor, and can't seem to find a place to buy the exact one that's used on the CAVE PCB:s.
Is there anyone here that knows where I could find one? Would be great if the plastic platform was included.
It is a 2200 uf 25v capacitor, you can easily find a replacement on ebay. Make sure to buy one that is exactly 2200 uf, and at least 25 volts and you should be good.
I've bought two capacitors from different vendors with the same specs that was probably half the size of the one I'm looking for, so I'm probably doing something wrong, that's why I asked here if someone knows a link to where I can buy the one I need.
If you search for 2200uF/25V SMD caps on Farnell or RS-components you can see the datasheets. In the datasheets you can see the size and spacing across positve and negative leads and you compare them to those on the PCB (assuming they're still there).
And if you're not an OCD guy you could even use a standard through-hole cap...
