I received a US SNES Console (old Design) with SNS-APU-01 Mainboard and S-RGB Videochip. The picture quality is horrible, example Super Mario RPG had very strong noise. Adding an capacitor to the Videochip (like the known white line fix) or disconnect the HF/RF Modulator doesn`t help. Changing Video to Luma as Sync make no difference.
Is something known whether exist a bad series for US SNES Consoles ? I live in PAL-Germany and I never seen this worst RGB Quality at any PAL SNES or japanese Super Famicom.

Re: US SNES with Noise in picture
If it's not the PSU, it's probably normal for that revision. On my RGB-02 system I didn't get any noise as in alternating patterns, but the image had some static dithering-like patterns to it. The only thing that seems to help is to use a consumer CRT, these patterns seem to be exacerbated on PVMs and probably scaler setups as well for some reason.
