Which Input Boards Support Anaolog RGB+Sync on BVM D Series?

Post by DatPhosphorGlow »

I understand the BVM D series are backwards compatible with previous generation input boards, what are these part numbers?

none of the extension boards offer inputs for external sync.

What do you mean? The BKM-129X RGB/component board has input/output for external sync, and lists compatibility with the BVM-D9H/D14H series.

Those model numbers are strange and don't seem to correspond to what we normally consider the "usual" BVM-D series. I don't know where you'd find a PVM-D20L5, either.

Instead I'd look at the BVM-D series literature and check out the supported boards there. I don't think the BKM-129X is one of these, I'm pretty sure it doesn't work on the D20 for example (which is probably what a user would be interested in using it on).

the 129X is a low board (only 2/3 of the heigth of a 20/21D board), isn't it ? Won't fit a D20 monitor.

What about the size of the actual internal connector though, could it be the same? I feel like Sony wouldn't develop two separate connectors and protocols for two sizes of BVM.

I have a few BKM 129x's but no BVM's to test this on, and I would only be comfortable trying if I could find out the pinouts are the same.

no. Check some pictures on Google. Completely different. The small boards have one long connector, while the large boards have two shorter ones.

I didn't realize there are different heights for the boards.

I actually have a 14" D series, not a 20".

So, which boards can I use for analog RGB input +Sync?

I believe mine was shipped with a 129X, is that the same board that's used in the non-D series 14" BVM?

According to the manual:

http://www.broadcaststore.com/pdf/model ... manual.pdf

BKM 129x is works with BVM D9H and D14H tubes.

I have some for sale if you're interested.
