Re: Prelude to the Apocalypse
MJ got aquitted twice in a court of law.
And no, a Netflix ''doc'' doesn't constitute proof.
But to briefly dissect this Netflix tire fire :
one of the accusers previously DEFENDED mj in a court of law by saying he never touched him. oops!
and that ''doc'' is also rife with contradictions.
but people can't bother to do research so... they see that thing on Netflix and think ''*gasp* it must be true!''

Wow.
By the way, I didn't see the Netflix thing. There's real stories about Jackson out there if you do any research. Ironic that you would bring the word "research" into the conversation with that word salad you posted.

It's simple. They both were involved in homosexual relationships with children.GaijinPunch wrote:Difference in convincing evidence stacked against them? (Hearsay from someone that stood to gain billions is not evidence, btw). Admittedly I haven't followed Gary Glitter so closely.orange808 wrote: Also, why do I still hear Michael Jackson at sporting events while Gary Glitter is banned. Same crime, different punishments.
Glitter was going to a third world country island in the Pacific. Don't recall the name off hand. He's guilty.
It's exactly what I said it is. The difference is that Glitter is a B list celeb and cancelling Jackson is inconvenient.
The same way JK Rowling is too big to cancel. A game dev would already be permanently unemployed with identical behavior. The difference is how convenient the cancellation is for you.
It's exactly what I said it is. People just don't like to hear true things.

Quite a hilarious post you just made there. You seem to be on an edgelord roll on this site so I'll let you continue, just go right ahead
There is no proof of MJ's atouchments. No witness no othing
ANd even if you bring up the ''child porn at his home thing'' : the report of stuff found at his home is public and there's nothing there that constitutes child porn. A feelgood book ala ''stay by me''? yeah might as well arrest every household in existence

Add another blow to Trump's feefees: Appeals court rules that Trump wrongly appropriated 2.5 Billion bucks from the military budget for his wall, as Congress is the one with the authority to do that. Though it hasn't made much of an impact, this is a good decision.

Brigador looks badass, and Killers is a cool sequel tag. I remember Mischief Maker posting a formidably mechy GIF a while back, but as always with non-arcade stuff, I put off investigating. I like my hobbyism lazy & comfy.

AND his proposed solution is class solidarity in the name of policy goals.
Not, as this Murray guy and a zillion other conservative concern-trolling think pieces about how to be a good liberal always say, by rolling over politically and adopting conservative views because "tolerance."
Maybe I should have been more detailed with the "Oh boy, a conservative is here to tell me how to be a good liberal???" joke originally. My bad.
Fuuuuuck! I was looking forward to that game. If only conservatives thought and acted more like progressives, we would no longer be denied great games by the right-wing culture warriors.Durandal wrote:Semi-relevant, but Brigador Killers development has been thrown into disarray after co-founder and lead artist got cancelled by a "Rhodesian revivalist" white supremacist.
Two working class dudes, one black one white, just baked a tray of ten cookies together.
An oligarch walks in and grabs nine cookies for himself.
Then he says to the white dude "Watch out for that black dude, he wants a piece of your cookie!"

That's a Corvid mech. Cobbled together from junked trucks, construction equipment, and farm mechinery by a lovable gaggle of anarcho-syndicalists in preparation for the revolution against Great Leader. Brigador has some top-shelf lore for a video game.

Re: Prelude to the Apocalypse
Just when I think it can't get better, I read another conservative jeremiad even more tear-streaked, po-faced and hilariously "how blindingly stupid do I think my readers are?" than the last one.
This time, the venerable author criticizes "social justice" types by insisting that actually getting things done can't be reduced to a culture war; what you need is loads of compromise and boring legislative paperwork, i.e. honest-to-goodness government.
You know, the thing that he and countless others like him been insisting doesn't work and have been actively kneecapping at every turn for decades now...while also doing their damndest to replace governance's inherent policy debates with a fucking culture war.
This is why I'm so dismissive of Trump supporters who say that their vote was influenced by the notion that progressives "don't respect us" or "think we're a bunch of idiots" - even if you want to somehow dismiss the mounds upon mounds of "please be ignorant enough to swallow this utter nonsense without asking any questions" like the above that conservative paper mills crank out, feel free just to focus for a minute on, just to state one example, Trump's recent infamous photo op, where he gassed peaceful protestors so he could wave a Bible in front of a boarded-up church for a minute; I have no earthly idea how he could have leaned any closer to his supporters' ears and screamed hey you dumb fucking rubes, you love this shit, right? No matter what the hell I do you'll still vote for this shit, won't you, you fucking morons? any louder. Nobody treats conservatives like idiots more than the people they elect.
And no, conservatives aren't stupid, but their leaders are very well aware of just how many of them are ready and willing to act like they are ("his comment was obviously made in jest" ) when it suits them.

Sanders would have flipped red states and the masters of the universe knew it. That's why they smeared him.
That's the other thing about some of the Trump voters. They don't have enough choices. We could make a common sense case to them, but we aren't allowed to. Yes, many of them obviously wouldn't want anything to do with us pinkos, but many others would. The rust belt would have flipped blue--and they knew it.
It's rigged. Trump and Biden love it this way.

Eh, television would have shut that all down, it obviously still controls everything. Electoralism is a dead end, let's all embrace technological-induced dystopia.

Considering that the GOP is currently (and hilariously) attempting to paint Biden as an agent of the radical left - let me repeat that a sec; they're calling Joe Biden an agent of the radical left - color me unconvinced (doubly so considering how few of Sanders' avowed supporters bothered to show up at the polls).orange808 wrote:Sanders would have flipped red states and the masters of the universe knew it. Depressingly I could see it. The dems did what they often do, picked the worst possible candidate.
