Hi,
I am building up a Database for all Retail released Console Shmups.
There is a game, called Taiseioh (大聖王) for Wii with UPC 4948297011049. It was released in the US under the name "Saint".
I checked YAJ, amazon.jp & rakuten - but can't confirm, that it got actually a retail release in Japan, because it's always "sold out" (maybe it was never available...)
is somebody here who owns a copy of the japanese version of "Taiseioh 大聖王"?
Thanks for any help!
Is there a japanese Release of "Saint" (Wii)?

I don't think it exists. I basically tried to get ahold of it right from the "supposed" launch.
Starfish also at one point announced Shin Chuka Taisen for the PS2, but it didn't happen either (and remained on Wii).

Here's a list of Japanese games which were indefinitely postponed. They were either in development at some stage, announced to be released on a certain day/month/year, or companies were asked to announce them (ie: Sony asking Konami/Square/others to announce a lineup for PS3 in order to boost PS3 console sales, including Gradius V/Monster Hunter/Dragon Quest, even if they weren't in development), but were cancelled/scrapped/changed platforms/companies went bankrupt/made into other games/etc.
This game is on it, along with Princess Company (プリンセスカンパニー) also by Starfish. Starfish has a lot of problems, apparently. Yukinko Daisenpuu was originally Kikikaikai 2 planned for PS2, then released for Wii (also released in the west as Heavenly Guardian) then ported to PS2. Shin Chuuka Taisen was released and localized as The Monkey King: The Legend Begins for Wii, but was originally planned for PS2. Dakkoshite! Chimpanzee was originally planned for DS, but cancelled and released as Aitakute Monkey for DSiware. There's at least a few other Starfish games in here which were cancelled, but I think you get the idea.
