Mildly disappointed by the yesterday's radio live transmission of
Carmen from the Metropolitan Opera. Their superb, recent
Adriana Lecouvreur staging, still fresh in my memory, had me spoilt, it seems.

I for one am most grateful to
Mama for getting released over here on casette at the time when I would spend about all my pocket money on those. That one (and
4th and Back by Hissanol) greatly increased my tolerance to the "interesting" sorts of music indeed (all the way to microtonality, sonorism, spectralism and whatnot in recent years).
Headache Remedy by Victims Family too, while we're at it. Last but not least - an incredible live performence by Cows during their
Orphan's Tragedy tour. Credit where it's due - my early exposition to
In the Court of the Crimson King must have taken part in such a development of my interests. (I'd heard of Voïvod, Wire and then some even way back when, but my access to the very music was erratic to say the least.)
