I was up in at Too Many Games for the weekend and I had a blast. I got to play Duck Hunt on a Sharp NES TV, went to a panel on Nintendo Comics, and there were even some playable shmups there (mostly Touhou, which they had a panel on, but I also got to play Sapphire on a PC Engine LT with a CD attachment). Lots of Vendors, including a store with Japanese toys and snacks (Pocky!), lots of artwork, and lots of older game sellers, including a few import sellers. I bought Mario Golf N64, Mario Golf GCN, the Toukiden Famicom game with the firework bombs, the JP Demon Sword for Famicom, Top Secret: Hitler no Fukkatsu Famicom, Side Pocket Game Boy, Castle of Illusion Genesis, Guerrilla War NES, Pro Wrestling NES, Clash at Demonhead NES, and Tiny Toon Adventures 2 Game Boy there. Prices varied from place to place, but there were some deals to be had, especially on the last day where one seller had a bogo deal cheap FC and SFC games (which is where I got the JP Demon Sword and Toukiden for Famicom).

Too Many Games Convention
Re: Too Many Games Convention
Did your copy of Demon Sword (Nippon ver.) come with one big fold-out paper? It's fragile, but I love that thing. Also the reversed spine on the cart is neat.

No, I got it loose. I got it for 4 dollars with that Sunsoft fireworks game.Ed Oscuro wrote:Did your copy of Demon Sword (Nippon ver.) come with one big fold-out paper? It's fragile, but I love that thing. Also the reversed spine on the cart is neat.

Some things there were a bit pricey, but others were more reasonable (loose Hitler no Fukkatsu for 40 bucks). I took the pics down since I wanted to show off the imports, not cause a stir over the prices. I bought from them a couple of times (including this time) and the staff is very friendly. I admit that I thought the same thing about that Bare Knuckle III and a couple others, though.drauch wrote:Good god, Bare Knuckle III for $120...
