Sony BVM 1911 HR geometry issue

Post by ronalam »

The screen looks great but the top right of the view-able area is messed up. Any help would be oh so greatly appreciated. I have tried all of the manual switches, but cannot get the top right corners geometry corrected. To give you an idea, the image should be a square shape, 3 of the four corners sit at 90 degree angle, except the top right is shorter than the others.

Probably the wrong way to do it, but I solved a similar issue on a PVM by sticking some strong speaker magnets to the metal shielding behind the tube and dragging the corner into place. A quick degassing and I was set.

Only reason I went that way though was the pots wouldn't correct it, try those first.
