I will not white knight for him. Icy is using a replay from zakk in his Ketsui review. I still have it on my HDD because it is so awesome. Not a perfect 1cc but you could see how he fought during this run. Made me fall in love with Ketsui (thanks, zakk). Anyway, did you read the thread? He was attacked and laughed at from the very beginning. I think he really lost it when some people that he actually liked started making fun of him. I'm sorry, but all I see is somebody that got gangbanged and snapped.

The Ketsui thing looks now out of place. I meant that he wouldn't have used his replay and upload it to his side if he didn't like zakk. I think he really liked this forum but he didn't got that out of it what he expected and went crazy. There was probably a lot more shit going on in his personal life too but whatever.

Actually, Icycalm was a pretty well liked guy for awhile, which is hard to tell from the later threads. He's been banned from a lot of forums though, and claimed on this forum that he paid someone to hack the insertcredit forums after he was banned there.

Personally I never thought of it as the second meaning, they're about equally used here. For instance I'd never have used the word "gangbanger" to mean a participate of group sex. It's always been some thug who beats someone up in my mind.

Icy just has an overwhelming urge to go after anyone who talks shit, regardless if it's necessary.

Icy is incredibly easy to troll. A few provocations is all it takes to make him lose his shit and start calling names. I wonder if he picked the name 'icycalm' as if he wanted himself to be an icy and calm person (like a philosopher). Ultimately, he's anything but.

I feel that some people just take things way too seriously/personally and need to prove the other person wrong or whatever. You'll just get into needless arguments and wear yourself out. Just let it go.

Not talking only about Icy. See Recap in that Rondo thread. I remember Elixir too getting into many unnecessary arguments and later complaining about how tiresome it was to post here.

On the other hand, people were cracking jokes and making fun of Cuilan in that thread of his. He just rolled with the punches, cracked jokes himself and was cool throughout the whole thread. That's the correct attitude to have. He gained major respect points in my book that day.

In short, just chill and stop taking things so seriously. Your day will be so much better.

Not white-knighting (I hope) but maybe for the newer members I feel like it can be a curious and fascinating case study on the progression of icycalm from past to present. WTF really happened?
