I've been supergun-less for a number of years and last weekend just built what will probably be the last one I ever make. I'm pretty happy with the turnout although I sacrificed a JROK 4.1 to mount in it permanently, and rather than spend $90 or whatever to get a new one to use as an external box with other devices, I was thinking of building something similar if I can keep the cost down.
I came across the BA7230LS which is a RGB->component transcoder that I've not come across before in earlier years. I just wanted to ask if anybody has experience building RGB->component circuits using it - what parts you used, how the oscillator circuit was made, and visual quality of the video output.
Anybody experienced with BA7230LS?
