Well, if you're in the US and listening to the radio or watching television, you probably feel that the coverage has been saturated. Personally, I don't mind the chance to reflect.

But rather than dwell on the awful legacies of that day in Dallas, I'd like to share a moment of beauty and strength from Massachusetts, home of the slain president, where the Boston Symphony Orchestra was conducting its routine Friday afternoon concert just miles from Kennedy's birthplace.

You can hear audio of this remarkable event here.

What played on the radio included a more complete account of the events than given in the Time article (or here) in that it included comments from a man affiliated with the orchestra, who came out after the break when the orchestra members had debated whether to go on. When my father died, he said, I came to the symphony for solace, and I hope you too will find it here.
