Please help! Can you name this shooter?

It has been a while, and it brings back fond memories thinking of this game:
About 17 Years ago I played a horizontal shooter.
One of the features was a little green ball that jumped around the screen an said "I'm your friend' and had something like speech emulation. I think you could shoot at it and it would get sad.....
The other thing i remember was the first boss: It was a huge blob (made out of different cells?) and when you shot at it, it would get smaller...
This is all I can remember, If someone knows the name it would be greatly appreciated...

Do you remember what console/systems it run on, or is it from the arcade?

it was in namco museum volume 5, for the playstation.

I think it was Baraduke 2 though, the graphics looked better as far as I remember. But you know graphics are always better in your memories....

baraduke 2 isn't a bad game either.
