I've finally gotten to the end of this brilliant game (without cheating) and now I have one more hurdle to overcome before my first 1CC run is complete...
Trouble ensues when I have to attack the GARLAND SYSTEM (Boss #3) because I cannot get enough damage onto it, preventing it from returning Lost Property #771. I 'seem' to be able to do this properly in Segment Play, but the boss' health bar freezes just before it can fill up to the top, so it never happens. I assume this means I have to do this in Full Order Play to get it to happen.
Any suggestions?

you can get lost property 771 in segment and boss only modes... thats means you are not doing it enough damage....
link to awesome replays download and study them...

edit: also, eliptic chariot is not really a good shot type for kagura, for beginners variable gun is a better choice, for advance scoring moon cradle is the best, for absolute mayhem use xanthel...

I can't for the life of me do this with minogame, but I've heard s/he's hardest character to do it with.

Easier than you might think! For the last few phases, you can just rhythmically tap the primary and secondary fire buttons. The forward shot and the seeker shot will do enough damage (even when Luna bottoms out on forward shot) while you dodge the pretty easy patterns.AntiFritz wrote:I can't for the life of me do this with minogame, but I've heard s/he's hardest character to do it with.
I'll try to record a video when I get home from work today if needed.

Also seems pretty easy just using the melee attack along with bomb whenever it recharges (remember that you can raise the bar during the first forms too, and you shouldn't need autobomb for them) edit: yeah, just look at this: http://youtu.be/TVj9j_cMwgM?t=3m53s . he doesn't even bomb at all. Noah!'s replay fills the bar with like 20 seconds left on the timer from what I remember so it really isn't that tight. Fossil Maiden can fill it very fast.CptRansom wrote:Easier than you might think! For the last few phases, you can just rhythmically tap the primary and secondary fire buttons. I don't really have any tips for ecliptic chariot but yeah if you can do it in practice you can do it in a full run. There is probably some easy way to do it as there is for most characters.
You actually get a fairly significant amount of points for damaging garland once the bar is full, so doing it as fast as possible is good anyway. Because of this any good high-score replays should have some very consistent strategies to speedkill it so you can look at those.

...I'm retarded and thought he was talking about building the satisfaction meter. Oops. lrn2read, Ransom.
Yeah, just bomb the shit out of it and use the inv. circle and melee with Minogame.

I just learned something REALLY INTERESTING... It turns out, you don't do NEARLY as much damage to GARLAND as you think - and you don't have to!
After GARLAND shoots all the blue stuff leaving that open spot in the middle, he performs what I call the HELIX RUSH. It's named after the pair of criss-crossing green beams, with the white blocks passing between them. (Think of it in 3-D terms, where you're both racing along the surface of a torus.) THOSE GREEN BEAMS deal damage to GARLAND - a lot of it, in fact. Clear out the blocks up where GARLAND is, while keeping some down low for you to hide behind as the beams pass.
In the next phase, GARLAND uses those same white blocks to cleverly hide more of those beams coming down from the top, crossing the screen horizontally now. Breaking those barriers will reveal the beams, which chew through GARLAND with ease. Where are you during this? You're up at the top of the screen behind GARLAND. Your chariot's just above the middle of the screen, clearing the barriers! (As in the previous phase, you clear them early enough for GARLAND to take the damage, but leave space for you to hide. Difference is, you're now where GARLAND used to be.)
With this knowledge I should be able to complete the Full Sequence with 771 - assuming I can get that far to start with. It'd be just as likely that Rex spoils my run like he's done a few times now... Wish me luck!

dealing with rex is just positioning. place the chariot right above his heart, and hide on top... done.

If you need help with rex, he is full of safespots which make him pretty trivial.. you can sit infront of one of his shoulders on the first pattern and after that above him completely safe until the last patterns if you have stella 7+(ironically not possible with low rank). Apostles is like 10x harder to no-miss from my experience, the only tight to dodge pattern is the start of the spirit kernel on rex cavalier. If it somehow timeouts on you try to use bombs on it right away I guess.
