Hmm I do love me some Batrider but...I also know how hard that game is on me every time I get serious with it. I know you don't want to reveal much but would you be willing to tell us if the dip settings are going to significantly alter the way we're playing the game?

It will require rethinking a fair bit of your strategy, yes. It should also allow a greater scoring potential, and be a bit easier than usual.

I think it'll be quite an interesting change of pace, and I'm really excited to see what some of the better players can do with it.

Sorry about the derail, but this talk of Batrider differences reminded me of something I'm going to try tonight: a Bakraid no-normal-shooting run. Aura, bombs and fully-charged attacks only.

I'm in, but I'll be coming into these games with zero experience since I Haven't used Mame before now. Mostly just in to get introduced to some new stuff. I haven't been able to find a working Batrider rom yet though...

One game is going to be revealed right now, because important things must happen with it.

Game will be Armed Police Batrider. However, it will require a non-Japanese region version B, and will require non-standard DIPs. If you need EPROMs burnt, please PM me and be prepared to give a little bit of money for me to buy EPROMs and mail them out. If you have a Japanese region version B, you won't need new EPROMs.

If you are playing in a game center, it would be a good idea to bring in your own board with the changed DIPs and ask the operator to put it in.

Version A has a bug on one of the bosses that lets you fight it repeatedly.

What the fuck, i've tried every character with different combos and tried choosing one character for all three and I can't even get past 900,000, this is the hardest game I've ever played; even in Garegga I can score higher than this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

July 8th for a start time, and batrider for the first game? sign me up! I would love to see a tournament on here that all the games are picked by the soundtracks only. I'm sure there'd be some awesome stuff.
