I entered Stage 5, for the second time, and lost my two extra lives in quick succession. I cannot contain my rage.

Yeah, stage 5 is really really really bitchy that way. Once I went in there with 6 extra lives and died before I reached the boss. You really need at least some kind of route to be able to play it at all...

I don't know if you're talking about cagar label or not, but in cagar label stage 5 is way more lenient and doable without a route, as there are less trappy static patterns

That'd explain it, since I mainly play white label

Taizen, I saw your youtube-vid
For maximum score, you should always use as high lvl hyper as you can; good basic rule is to always save lvl 10 hyper and unleash it at midbosses

Lol, that video is old as shit. I'll have to post an updated version later, you know, one that actually gets to Stage 5. Also there's 10 hypers? What the hell
I had problems pushing it past four.
How can I charge it faster?

Having a crazy high combo makes it go up faster, but it's not very much, you need 1000 HIT to double the rate.

In my experience, using level 10 hyper on midbosses is really only viable on Stage 4. In Stage 3 you'll want to save it to use against the blue pod with the secret extend, since hypers massively extend the combo timer.

In cagar label you won't recharge more hypers with high combo, also in cagar label you ALWAYS get the blue pod extend, so these things don't apply :)

It's pretty gratifying to come back here occasionally and see people still submitting scores.

Especially you, Pteriforever. Jesus christ.

This run was pretty awesome and I'm quite happy with it ^.^

Just wow :D Entire first loop went brilliantly, I had ~181 million by the end. Definitely the highlight was a full chain of 1-4 ^.^ Reached the 2-3 boss this time; died on the second attack of its second phase (Its 1-3 counterpart is nasty enough already >_<). I would've most likely reached 2-4 if not for two hilariously bad consecutive deaths against the 2-2 midboss :/ I did, however, manage to get the blue pod extend in 2-3, which was pretty nice :3

Took me a while but I finally got around to adding those scores. First to break 200 million in vanilla! Good work!

I mean, what the fuck.
If you can get to 2-5 in white label, surely you should be able to 2-ALL cagar label? A feat that no-one is even going to try.
(partly because the game sucks and partly because it's thought to be impossible)

I made it to Apollyon's Eye, but I screwed up 2-3 very badly so if I did better there, and practiced 2-5 a ton, I bet I could do it :3

Thanks so much guys~! :D :D

I do have this one video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ia3BFu9DAKk

It's only about my 5th best by score (~223m) but it's the first time I finished the first loop with 0 deaths, so I'm still really proud of it ^.^

Haven't been playing as many shmups as normal these past few months, had a lot of personal dramas and several really exhausting classes, hopefully I'll get back into it all more seriously.
