Yeah, I'm not a pc user, too. But I guess that if they are able to make it, then they'll be able to port it somewhere.

Chaos Reborn (TBS) (Julian Gollop Kickstarter)

Post by ZellSF »

This needs more money. I see some potential issues with this game, but I've liked everything else Julian Gollop has had any influence on. TBS games probably aren't that popular here (or anywhere :( ), but I thought I'd post this anyway.

The Game Atelier is making a Flying Hamster sequel, but it's not a shmup - instead it's an adventure-platformer apparently most closely inspired by Wonder Boy III. Still seems to include some spitting of beer lasers, though.

Even though this isn't a shmup, this does look high quality from the video on the page. I look forward to this.

Only semi-on-topic, but still a surprise: you might remember Citizens of Earth, which I mentioned some months back on here. The Kickstarter campaign failed, but out of nowhere Atlus has picked it up and will release it later this year. Presumably no longer DRM-free, but still nice to see the game back on track, as the team really did reach out and try to answer every query it got, which alone deserves praise in my book. They're also holding a "design-a-character" contest - I'm half-tempted to submit a "shmupper" class just to see what happens.

new adventure game "Last Life" which is a sci-fi noir about a detective reinvestigating the case that originally got him killed. The only reason I heard of it is because double fine is "publishing" it, but the concept seems pretty awesome.

reward tiers suck big time tho

i know there's a few aphex twin fans on here that might appreciate this. the unreleased caustic window album known as cat-023 will be released digitally for the first time ever. personally, i'd rather have a physical copy, but it should be cool to finally hear this in any case.

I know this is a Star Trek fan film, but I link it because of the single fact that the guy who started the project has done all of the green screen effects and CGI so far. And it is of very high quality. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/st ... ek-horizon

I'm excited for this, one of the few games that got me into music games besides DDR, beatmania, and drummania. I wouldn't be surprised if they rename this, since it has a new soundtrack. Modulation anyone?

This game looks very promising

Beast's Fury, a furry-themed 2D fighting game for Windows/OSX/Linux. The animation sure looks good.

Brutal-er: Paws of Additional Fury?

I like the look, but I'm not sure I'm up for contributing just to get a demo made...

OMORI - like earthbound on drugs. the surreal visual style in an RPG sort of reminds me of moon: remix rpg adventure.
I'll probably be backing this at the $15 tier.

Here's the trailer for Harbinger Down, Studio ADI's apology for The Thing 2011:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3L0dkv4kwP0

This was funded some time last year with a lot of extra capital provided by Sultan Saeed Al Darmaki. I'm not expecting this to be the greatest movie ever made, but it will be nice to see a true labour of love for a change. If you like watching Lance and the wibbly hentai tentacles then this should be worth a giggle.

I, among others, actually spotted that one in the Developer forum before this - it's basic in structure, but looks and plays well, and will donate proceeds to charity, so I'll definitely back it.

Backed this earlier in the week -

And it isn't a game, but I caved in and backed it this morning -

You're sure to be in a fine haze about now, but don't think too hard about all of this. Just go out and kill a few beasts. It's for your own good. You know, it's just what hunters do! You'll get used to it.

I don't really care too much about a remastered Night Trap, but what I'd really like to get my hands on is the playable version of "Scene of the Crime" that's being offered at the higher tiers.

I believe that's the version that was demoed on the never-released Hasbro NEMO gaming platform.

I've created a kickstarter for my game Forgotten Ball, it's a minimalist open world (single huge level) platformer. Built for desktop/laptop and mobile devices.

I would love your feedback, it is a big deal for me as ultimaetly this getting funded or not alters my future in a way, and that is kind of scary in itself.

Night Trap!

Also of note: I've offered to help livestream the original to drum up interest.

And I do mean the original. Red box Sega CD edition. 3PM EDT, URL's on the front page of the KS.

Disclaimer: I'm in no way affiliated with the KS. It wouldn't look so awful if I was. I just looove NT entirely too much.
