Why doesn't someone do a kickstarter for Iuchi?

I mean, seriously. They raise so much money, for garbageware over and over...why can't we have the third game in the RS saga?

Because it isn't a remake and it doesn't have zombies in it.

Unfortunately, begging your fans for funding would be a pretty severe violation of the Japanese Game Developers' Ancestral Honor Code.

Having all of these companies commit seppuku is clearly the much-more desired alternative.

It's true. When I met Triangle Service Guy to discuss a loan for YaoiZeal, his new wanking sim / waggle shooter hybrid, the fucker was missing half of his fingers. Most awkward handshake ever.

You know that there were actually some leaders in the WWII Japanese military who were in favor of being wiped out by nukes so the nation could die "like a beautiful flower"?

Admit it: If it was some crap from your childhood you have nostalgic feelings attached to, you'd most likely be all over it, too. This isn't exactly rational. (Nostalgia aside, I don't think that Project Giana looks and sounds bad at all).

Sad because Iuchi had the RS-3 project all mapped out and submitted the design docs but it just didn't get greenlighted, maybe if Kokuga does really well, though I don't see that game attracting the masses very much.

Edit: Is there anything interesting written at the bottom of this? http://www.vgmaterials.com/profile.html

Kinda hard to have nostalgic feelings for a game no one even owned.
