I must be a noob. What's the difference? I know there's more bullets and scoring opportunities but other than that are there any differences? Any more stages?
How many stages are there in each mode, anyway? I know they loop, but for how long? I'm new to both of these games. Thanks!
Batsugun Regular vs. Special Edition
There are a LOT of differences.
Different colors in the levels.
You gain an "extra hit" every time you level up.
Special pigs that increase your experience.
The game loops 4 times. Each time you start at one level later than the last loop did (thus loop 2 starts at level 3, 3 starts at level 3, etc.).
Masses of suicide bullets are added in each loop.
The bomb wipes the entire screen of enemies and bullets.
The hitbox is smaller.
There are additional "Secret Scores"
And probably a couple more. But yeah, Batsugun Special >>>>> Batsugun, and most other shmups for that matter. Great game.
And probably a handful more.

RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!!!!!!
just a point to correct,
the fullscreen bomb of Batsugun special is actually accessible in Batsugun, if both players press bomb at the same time. It's slightly more funny in two players I think, since you have two "Number One!" hands popping out of the planes instead of one.
