Espgaluda II -official-
This french gaming site points out that ESPGaluda 2 and Ibara 2 are mentioned in Cave's latest financial report., on page 20 which is the one about arcade games, along with the puzzle game Mushihime Tama which we already know about.

Not necessarily: Now, I doubt they'll be called ESPGaluda 2 or Ibara 2, but I'm fairly positive they'll be sequels.
The title of the page is:
Agressive Development of the Mushihime-sama, ESPGaluda, and Ibara series'.
Some other interesting points:
Seems they'll be spending 2.4x as much money on game development next year as they did this year. Also that they use the term "Working Title" in their upcoming Cave Online titles, but not the aforementioned sequels.
This is also how the PS2 port of Mushihime-sama was found... quite a while before the announcement.

Schweet. More Cave is good. I just wish they'd get be more interested in the home market as well... maybe if Mushi does well they'll pay more attention. I also find it interesting that Ibara seems to be doing somewhat poorly (anti-flame note: this is just based on my observations in arcades here, and may not be correct) but they're planning on making a sequel to it.

Neither of which have some exploitable female lead character that can be represented without panties or as pedophile's wetdream. Well, the current versions didn't, at any rate.Dandy J wrote:Dangun Feveron 2 & Ketsui 2.

'Galuda is not only my favorite shmup right now, but also one of my favorite games ever--and I've been playing games for about 20 years. So naturally I'm pretty excited about this. (Maybe by then Arika and Cave will be on good terms again? ::drools::)
I realize that Cave doesn't make many sequels, and I see the merits in that, but look at the DDP series. That proves Cave sequels can be good, right? I can't wait for 'Galuda 2, and I hope it uses a similar system with more challenging levels.

EspGaluda II
I haven't even played the 1st EspGaluda on the PS-2, but I know this will make a lot people quite happy...

So all of these shots seem to be against massive enemies, are these bosses - it seems a coincidence that all the players would be at different bosses at the same time. Maybe the whole game is against "level 3" style big structures/bosses.
Also second image seems to have some kind of Shiki thing going on.
