This was actually from last week, but I forgot to record it at the time. Anyways, right now I've mainly been focusing on getting ready for Evo, but after that's done with I'd like to sit down with some shmups again. I'm not sure how deep I really want to delve into this game though - it's fun, but it hasn't really gripped as much as other games I could be playing, but then on the other hand I probably won't have another chance to play this game once it leaves Full Tilt. So we'll see I guess.

Got to final boss, literally one pixel left on first life bar. I thought I was one pixel away from a 1cc, but now I realize that the life bar refills and there are more forms.

I really don't know what I want to do about Slowpoke MAME, so I'm going to add such scores and mark them with a (!) for some reason.

The game is far from perfect. There's a lot of speed differences, especially in some of the later stages and when the rank is high.

That said, it's nowhere near as bad as the rest of the SH3 games. I don't think there's a need for a separated table, as long as Mame scores are marked as such.

By speed differences you mean the PCB is faster or slower? cause I haven't see any slowdown so far using MAME.

The Mame version is missing a lot of slowdown. I haven't played the game in a while and I don't have access to the board anymore, but I distinctly remember Mame being a lot faster on parts like the train sections in stage 3 on max rank, and a few parts in stage 5 too. Also I always had a lot of flicker while practicing in Mame, although that's more likely due to my computer rather than the emulation itself.

I still think the game is quite playable in Mame mind you, but it's far from perfect.

MAME is a handicap if anything. Seems like scores should be allowed, unless MAME does something to the game to make it easier.

I'm only putting a (!) because I'm not really "supposed" to include MAME scores yet.
