"Deepstaria enigmatica, is a jellyfish of the family Ulmaridae first described in 1967 by F.S. Russel. The bell of this jellyfish is very thin and wide (up to approx. 60 cm), and resembles a translucent, folding sheet or “lava lamp” as the animal moves."
Pretty cool.
At first I thought it was just a piece of trash.
Its movement entails it is not an inanimate object.

which makes me remember james cameron did somekind of deep-sea dive a few weeks back, surely there must be tons of amazing footage from that, anyone seen anything?

I havent, other than the news mentioning it briefly.
but right around that time I (significantly) got Deep Blue.
(haters going to hate, but I solely bought it for the liner note's art.)
