Wanted: German proxy buyer, USD$100 bounty

Post by gct »

I have a bit of an odd request to ask of our German forum members here - mods please inform me if this is against the rules.

I am trying to buy side luggage racks for my motor scooter which somehow only the German distribution arm carries, and won't ship anywhere else. I have found them for purchase at two German online shops, but I haven't been able to communicate with them.

The product code is MA3990, for the Kymco Xciting series.

Product link at rollercenter.de - 129 Euros
Product link at mlm-zweiradsport.de - 189 Euros

Obviously I would prefer to buy from the cheaper source, but I'll have to go with whichever one has the stock to make a sale.

I will pay the full costs of the goods plus shipping to your location, plus the secondary shipping to Canada, plus $100 commission for your trouble, or more if it turns out to be really bothersome - I expect this to be a relatively large item, probably about the same size but heavier than JAMMA stuff.
I guess details of the payment can be worked out later in PM, but it looks like I may have to send the sum in two payments - one to cover the initial purchase, and then the second to cover shipping it the second time. Payment will be made by Paypal and I can send values in Euros if you prefer that.

I don't have any trader feedback here, although in a past life I had plenty of feedbacks under the handle 'iatneH' - I tried to keep it a secret but for the sake of establishing some trust it's time to come clean. Up to you whether you want to believe it or not. If anybody wants, I suppose I could log in with the old account and make a post...

Help me please!

Thank you for the heads-up, lewisit. I will give it a try.

So we can put this request on temporary hold...

edit: Well, they took my money. Didn't realize the listed price included the VAT which I don't need to pay. Shipping was pretty cheap too so the grand total was less than that list price. lewisit, you may have saved me quite a bit of money so if/when I receive the item I would still be happy to pay you a small informant's fee if you wish to accept it.

To pay my dues, I took some quick photos after I received delivery this morning.

Big thanks to lewisit for pointing me to a source for purchasing the racks, no thanks to Jockel for freeloading

Now I can go buy a ton of watermelons with these and not have to worry about having them stolen. My watermelons!
