@nimitz
I think you forgot to specify a voting period. When will we see the results?

Furthermore, 10 is just not enough. I skipped a few games that are very good and which would have been high up on my list because I saw enough others were voting for them, so instead I included games that wouldn't have received enough votes otherwise. It's not good if a poll forces you to make tactical votes like this. I think 15 games would have been the bare minimum.

I know for a fact that some people have had a though time coming up with 10 games, let alone 15.

Also, you really shouldn't be doing tactical or strategic voting, this will only make the results more biased, vote for the 10 games you think are best and let the magic happen.

I think home computer games would be very underrepresented if we were to include them here, maybe another time.

The voting will end once we get no more submissions for a given period.

my list:

1. Slap Fight MD
2. Zanac
3. Gradius Gaiden
4. Jikkyou Parodius
5. Nexzr
6. Gun Nac
7, Aleste (SMS)
8. Override
9. Zanac Neo
10. Musha

nimitz wrote:Sonic Wings Special is a though case, it's hard to say if it was developed specifically for console or if it was intended to be sold to arcade.
As much as I adore it, sub-arcade production values would indicate it was meant to remain a budget multi-platform release. Remember that AWESOME mecha reptile boss explosion from Sonic Wings 2? Well then, you won't find any touches this cool in SWS (even the desert tank boss doesn't leave any tracks on the sand - this would stick out like a sore thumb in the arcades, next to the Raiden cabs and the likes).

Here're my two cents:

1. Blazing Lazers (aka Gunhed) TG-16
2. Soldier Blade TG-16
3. Thunder Force IV (Genesis)
4. Thunder Force III (Genesis)
5. Gate of Thunder (PCE Super CD-Rom2)
6. Air Zonk (aka PC Denjin: Punkic Cyborgs) TG-16
7. Magical Chase (yep, the rare as hell TG-16 TTI version)
8. Gun-Nac (NES)
9. Super Star Soldier (TG-16)
10. OverRide (PC Engine Hu-Card)

Looks like we wont get any more entries, you can still vote for the next 24 hours, the entries will be considered final in 24 hours too so if you want to change something in your lists you still can.

edit: please make a new post to tell that you edited your list in the last 24 hours if you did, this way i don't have to check again to make sure.

Gradius V
Recca
MUSHA
Gun-Nac
Einhander
R-Type III
Axelay
Zanac Neo
Space Megaforce
Android Assault

Compile is best overall console developer if you ask me.
Why is it called the Vic Viper/Warp Rattler? Because the Options trail behind it in a serpent-like fashion, and the iconic front fins are designed to invoke the image of a snake's fangs.

Not Gaiden or Zanac - but better than RTF and TF6, easily.

Silpheed: TLP shouldn't really be voted into any top 10 list.

nimitz, when does voting end? Also, I didn't realize that Jikkyou Parodius was an exclusive. I had always assumed it had an arcade release. I wonder if the 32-bit ports are upgrades over the Super Famicom release.
