I never lost level 1 / 2 , so cant tell about that, but for sure it does works on level 4 & 5 !

I did a no-miss on freeplay with continues enabled.

Tried from stg 3 - doesn't work.
Tried from stg 4 - doesn't work.

Whats the trick?

Maybe it's a hard dip setting like the mysterious Yagawa ones?

ok guys i 've managed to to the bug, in fact its not when the continue shows up, but pretty much ANYTIME you press shot (C) + start in the game it make you skip right away to the next stage !!

I finished the game in 1 minute, with a magnigicient score of 3.750.000.000 points !!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Will upload it later, but you can try to see if this works for you too at home ??

Sounds like your board is busted dude. That would have been hot topic number one the minute the game was released if it was present on all PCBs. :idea:

Please take a look at the hardware DIP switches on your PCB. This sounds like some sort of debug trick.

its becoming worst now.

hold A + start = you die
hold B + start = you restart the stage from the begining
hold C + start = you skip the stage to the next one.


ok clearly some kind of programming thing they forgot to delete :lol:

edit, this ALSO works on credits mode, not only free play ! that's mad !

I'm going to Tokyo tomorrow, i'll have a try on their cabinet too...

Pretty interesting, it doesn't seem like a bug at all though. Did you have to set any dip switches?

This sounds a hell of a lot like you accidentally got a debug mode. I seriously doubt the grand majority of the PCBs have this.

I'm asking on the french forums at the moment.

Seems to be pretty weird that nobody didn't find that before me, as the manip' isnt that hard to find !

But anyway, well it's a nice stage select for training :lol: :lol: :lol:

There are 4 tiny dip switches above the processor. For some games you flip one to open hidden modes. This debug stuff doesn't happen on my board unless there is some combo dip setting you have. That means they made revisions without updating the boot screen date line. I did find that if you flip just dip 4 the sync goes crazy and if you flip 3 and 4 it goes monochrome blue.

If this is fixed on some boards then the overflow thing could be too.

Only 4 dips, then there are only 16 combinations :D

That's the default. Mine doesn't do it. So you got some early version that wasn't supposed to be released and now your board is worth one hundred and fifty kagillion doll hairs.

Out of curiosity is your serial within the first 10? Did you preorder?

I got this PCB from Cave directly actually, maybe that's why.

I didn't ordered it from anyone.

Serial is fairly low I guess. SDO 0073

It might be a mega rare version indeed :o

I could see them adding something like this to export/home bound orders like the level select stuff in Akai Katana Limited and making bosses have fewer hit points in the export Futari Black Label but then why wouldn't they tell anyone about it? Cave is always swimming in mystery.
