Boom, at one point, I had almost 200 PCB's. Not quite the world domination of some of the big dogs, but I had a lot. Now I'm down to like 80 or so I guess. Anywho, still waiting to hear what the story is on rolling up there. I'm considering it happening at this point.

I might be able to make it this time, depends on the work schedule as usual. I've hardly played any shmups the past year or so, maybe this will motivate me to get back into them.

Don't have any new PCBs to bring except gunbird18's Sengoku Ace board. I've still got Dangun Feveron, Donpachi and most of the Psikyo lineup.

I can always bring Akai Katana if no one else who has it manages to make it out. I'd actually like to somehow try and manage to take a train out there this year if I can (if the Metra even comes close to where you are, I'd have to look it up, or help me out if you can,) so I'd like to keep things light on the big stuff if possible. Maybe I can check with metallica and see which shmups he's missing, etc.

Oh tyeah - if you take Metra in, you can hop a train right to my block! I'm off the Red Line at Belmont, just fyi.

And on the drinking thing - we have to remain alchohol free until 9pm - Zespy is trying to be as law-abiding as possible. After 9pm though, you are free to drink as mush as you'd like. AND there is a liquor store right on the block!

So, my girlfriend wants to come to this for reasons I have yet to comprehend (I'm guessing 5% curiosity, 5% having an excuse get out of Toledo for a couple days, 90% wanting to go to Kuma's again). So we'll be there, although we'll be getting a hotel room somewhere near the Brown Line.

Gah, I need to talk to the Michiganders again. They never post here anymore, but some of them expressed interest on Facebook.

I also need to brush up on Twinkle Star Sprites... as defending champ, the pressure is on!

That's probably what I'll end up doing. As much as a despise the CTA, I'd imagine its not a very long ride to your place, so I could probably handle it.

Damn right it is! Haha. Your victory was narrow and I will triumph!

There's a very good chance I'll be able to make it down this year. I'm not 100% sure yet, but I should be happily unemployed by then.

I saw some mention of tickets, how much is the cover charge?
No tickets man - totally free. Come out - they'll be a great cross section of people from the board.

Any odds the webcasting could create issues with even after-hours drinking?

I couldn't make it last year, but I'd like to go if finances work out. Sounds like a lot of fun.

I totally agree! 8)

Anyone bringing a Guwange pcb? I bought a set of the Blue Label roms, still waiting to find a board - at least we could try them out.

Oh man.....I will have to to think about it. It's a pretty large PCB and I'm hesitant to take a PCB like that on the bus and across the border.

I'm probably too much of a cab snob for my own good - but yeah, that's probably the easiest way to play it. It probably cost less on the marketplace for both versions than what the roms cost just for Blue Label. ;)

I'd say so, regarding cost. Blue comes by default and it's $10 or $5 when it went on sale.

Yeah - that's the smart way to do it.

Should have the schedule in a day or so here and I'll post it up with all the information for the meet. Mega stoked - this should be awesome.

Just bought my train tickets, no car to get towed this time :D . Sounds like all the consoles are covered so I'll just bring along my shooting watch.
I'll be in town Thursday night if anyone is up for some pre-shmuping antics.
