No real information about it as of yet. But do you think it would be geared for gaming or movies?

I am in touch with them. Will very very likely be a full blown movie processor. I would expect $800-1000, given that they have reached $500 for their more advanced HDFury bundles.

For $800, how much better than a PS3, PC/Mac, DVDO edge or equivalent could it possibly be? DVD is not that great to begin with...

It would have to be as good as the Radiance Mini-3D (currently $1400) and priced better than an iScan Duo (currently $1000).

IF they take account any gaming needs, then it's a low-latency scaling option for 480p/720p. Otherwise it's to early to tell...

I sent off an e-mail to them and they said it's going to be for gaming AND movies with support for 240p through 1080p and beyond.

yeah, that's what they all claim to offer, thus none ever came close to a XRGB for 240p processing...

Some new information: The HDFury team has two upscalers are in development.
One based on Marvel Qdeo and the other on Video 1900 (?).
Not sure if they plan to release two or the better of the two, more information after HDFury4 is released.

Do either of those chipsets peak your interest or would you care to theorize how upscalers based on them would compare to the RGB-Mini or HD3000?

Perhaps it could end up being a good substitute for the DVDO Edge, with good movie performance, fast upscaling and (optionally fast) deinterlacing and acceptable gaming performance for 240p/288p material.
