Received my Under Defeat HD today. Is the dual stick layout on this game good?

I find dual stick mode hard to keep a bead on specific targets. May be a learning curve issue (can't teach us old gamers new tricks ). You can switch directions really quickly in New Order mode though.

Is one of the modes easier? I noticed some enemies in New Order that missed in the Arcade mode.

I'm really enjoying this, great game.
I guess only a few people are playing arcade mode? I've just got a score that put me in 8th on the leaderboards, and i really suck at this game, still getting the hang of it

at least in PAL-land it's no amazon only release.
Why would you favour the NA release over the PAL one anyway, since afaik they're the same in every way?

Wouldn't favour it. I just asked a couple of questions on the modes. Then Jeneki brought up the NA release.

Yep. works just fine in 4:3, both Yoko and Tate.

I just purchases the NA version from amazon, i also own the Jp version and the available DLC(white chopper, and patches) Will there be any conflicts playing the NA version with the Jp data installed?

Well got this and i have to say it is a real nice package. Presentation is nice, Rising Star games did a nice localization. Answering my own question, yes all saves and game data are treated separate from my Jp release so no issues. As the above poster mentioned that fouth copter is a brute and much more effective than G-revs awkward copter.

I'm thinking about just getting rid of my JP version, and getting a domestic, but I'm not sure if this plays on a JP system.

Ps3 version is region free AFAIK. Jp release plays fine on NA system, should work vice versa

I bought it. Played briefly and don't really like it. Might sell it. Today.

Edit: It's now up on Amazon. Decided to sell it whilst the price is good, and because better games can be had within the same price range (imho).

I guess I just felt a bit unfulfilled...

Is New Order harder than Arcade? Or is it just because I'm not used to the playing wide screen?

New order has more enemies, and widescreen causes steeper attack angles for more crossfire. I'd say it's harder, or at least I do much worse in it.
