N64 controller replacement analogue sticks
The cheap generic ones you see on ebay. Has anyone tried them, and are they worthwhile?
Re: N64 controller replacement analogue sticks
Have you considered investing in a controller with a better analog stick? Theres the hori pad of course, but theres also this adapter now

Re: N64 controller replacement analogue sticks
Thanks, I have actually looked at that guy's site before for just the opposite thing, something that would let me use the N64 controllers on the wii VC games. One reason is the unique button placement on the controller that is often visually represented ingame (the C buttons). The other reason is that I grew up using the N64 controller and it makes me happy just having it in my hands lol. Of course I would be even happier if the sticks weren't flopping about all over the place. . .

If I had an N64, I would definitely replace the stick with this.

I can tell you the Hori Mini Pad 64 is awesome. It's way better than the standard N64 controller; it makes every game more enjoyable. It's well worth the money, in my opinion.
Re: N64 controller replacement analogue sticks
I honestly rather pay 30 for the gamecube adapter and another 30 on cheap gamecube controllers than 60+ on a hori pad.

Re: N64 controller replacement analogue sticks
The one I bought was only $40. Also, I think it'd be kinda awkward using the Gamecube's C-stick for the C-buttons - if that'd even work. The Mini Pad 64 has separate C-buttons just like the original N64 controller.
