Yeah I noticed no one had put up a score for BL Strong Style, so I thought to put out a sacrificial score.

Strong Style is deadly. I normally S+L in Bomb Style and Power Style to speed up killing boss forms (since Type A's S+L is basically just an enhanced laser), but in Strong it just simply ends in me spamming Hypers to save myself. Or dying. Or both at the same time.

Horrible stage 5, four misses all at really bad points from a scoring perspective. Two of them were with full bomb stock (painful). Stage 3 was my worst yet, got over a thousand [1]s. Stage 4 didn't make up for it at all.

POINTLESS RAMBLING AHEAD:
Seems like your highest hit count plays into how much you score. Playing stage 2 with a max hit of 999999 gets you the first extend much sooner than with a max hit of 20000. Y'know, I bet that's how people score big with Doom! They have a big ass hit count and the stars maybe base their points off that?

So basically, I guess this game boils down to getting a high hit count. What bothers me though is why that dude this run (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-WGsQhSNTA) keeps using shot and laser repeatedly.

For some reason, I just feel like I'm missing something in scoring to this game.

Killing enemies with the spread shot increases the chip counter much faster than with the laser shot, but can cause enemies to drop chips based on distance instead of your chip status (meaning they can drop <=[5] even though you're maintaining a [10] chip chain). Killing enemies with the laser shot guarentees they'll drop whatever your current chip status is. He repeatedly alternates to keep his [10] chip chain in the high fifties with the shot while still cashing in on [10] chips with the laser.

After putting some time to all the other Daifukkatsus, I'm still convinced that for scoring, regular 1.5 is the best designed and most satisfying of all the modes out there. Lately I've been playing around a bit with B-P. I can definitely do better than this, just putting this here to motivate myself to actually do that.

Replay is up on the 1.5 leaderboards. I got extremely lucky I didn't get blasted at the start of the stage 3 boss and if I would have popped my hyper a second earlier on the last pattern of the stage 5 boss I would have seen Hibachi. I also completely and utterly choked at the start of Golden Disaster (like...embarrassingly so) but still managed to luck my way to a clear. I play a really safe game and I think if I played even a tad more risky I could get past 1 trillion but I think I'll move on to PS/MMP now.

I'm getting really tired of Black Label Arrange and Black Label itself. Maybe I burned myself out trying to get that score up...I think playing for score exclusively does that to you sometimes. The two above scores I just got from playing once.
