If they are the same polarity and both DC, then it shouldn't hurt to try it. If it doesn't work, it would be because the circuit is designed to have a minimum input voltage to produce the "step down" voltage. I did a quick check up on it, and it seems that the VR used requires a steady 7VDC to operate, so the PSOne supply is right at the limit. that's why the OG supply is 10V, because you can't always count on a wall wart supply to be super steady. So you can try it, and it should work, but there's no guarantee that it won't cut out while you're playing something
