Torus Troopers is my favorite thing that he's done. It's like a mix of Web Warp and Kingdom Grandprix, and I think it just works for what it is.

For those of you having problems just extract all the files and it will play. Thats all I had to do.

I get the sdl.dll error when running from zipped and a failed attempt to launch the game when I unzip it to a folder with no error message.

Theres also a few duplicate files being replaced when I unzip it.

Is unzipping the same as extractiing a file?

Not exactly I guess. If you unzip it the files are just no longer compressed. But if you extract it it creates folders. Not sure but if it's so that might be the problem.

Yeah, I just extracted the files to a folder and then they worked.

Well, after playing his games more, thats how I rate them, from best to worst

Torus Trooper
Noiz2sa
Tumiki Fighters
Parsec 47
rRootage
A7XPG

Torus Trooper is AMAZING. Its by far his better game

Just in case - for those who think rRootage is weak, you have tried the other modes (Psy, Ika, GW), right?

It needs Panther. If you're still on Jaguar --- hold on a bit, they'll release Tiger this friday!

Torus Trooper is probably my least favorite of his efforts. Although it has a nice sense of speed and a unique sensation of dodging, something just seems a bit odd about the visuals. I don't necessarily mean that it's "3D", but it can be difficult to sometimes discern if projectiles are in your line of fire or not. It also seems to repeat patterns more than some of his other games, and the focus on endurance is just a bit too much for me.

As for A7XPG, that's one game that didn't impress me initially, but turned out to have some deeper, rather challenging play as I started to understand how the scoring works. Still, some of the enemy respawning can feel a bit cheap (often I'll ram into an enemy just after it appears), and I wish it had a more accessible stage select feature.

This all reminds me, provided ABA Games keeps the same schedule as for his last couple games, the next one is due any time now...

Really? I thought his last few were coming out on 11-12 month cycles. TT came out in December(?) so yeah, a *few* months probably. I think he might still be tweaking TT.

I had just noticed his releases have been in April and November the last two years.
